Band Teacher
Platte Purchase Middle School

Hi ! My name is Shelly Swink, and I am one of the two band directors at Platte Purchase Middle School!

I have known that I wanted to teach Band since my 6th Grade year at Waynesville Middle School, where I grew up. I attended Central Methodist University for my Undergraduate, and am currently going back to school at University of Missouri for my Masters! Prior to coming to Platte County, I taught at a small school in Glasgow. I am eager to share my passion with students, and in building learners of tomorrow!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy baking, hiking with Hank (my Labrador Retriever), and reading any and all genres of books.
